There are many ways you can get involved with Habitat that don’t involve working on a construction site! Non-construction volunteers are always needed to help in the office, work with Habitat families, plan events, and serve on committees. You can even volunteer from home!
You don’t have to know a thing about construction to help build a Habitat Home! All you need is enthusiasm and willingness to learn. We provide the tools, training, and encouragement and have projects for all skill levels and interests! We build year-round on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and every Saturday from 8:00 am – 2:00 pm. Construction volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
The Swingin’ Seniors are some of York Habitat for Humanity’s strongest supporters. Volunteering two days a week, they share their time and talents. The Swingin’ Seniors’ strong presence on worksites is priceless. And they have a lot of fun!
